Hurricane Gustav Update - So Far, So Good

Looks like we're going good so far. Gustav's already down to a Tropical Storm, and by and large, it seems like we've dodged yet another blow!

Proof? Some of New Orleans STILL has power, even after the storm, and there has been minimal flooding in areas affected by Gustav. I find that to be absolutely freaking amazing after what could have been a very devastating storm.

Still, based on what I've been reading from nola.com, it looks like we'll be in Shreveport until Wednesday at earliest, when they'll start bringing people back in groups, as per Gov. Jindal's orders, and so hopefully we won't have problems with traffic heading back into Metairie.

Hope all of my fellow Louisiana Furs and friends made it through okay, and we'll be back to life as normal in no time. :3

Yup, we made it back in fine last night, but the house is a disaster. XD We'll probably be cleaning up intermittently over the next few days, and just enjoying some R&R post Gustav.

But yeah, the power and sewage lines are working, and Cookie and Fuse are temporarily staying with us until Baton Rouge starts getting back on its feet.

Though seriously, after MFM, the driving, the hurricane, making plans, stress... I'm exhausted, man.

I have been seeing footage out of Terrebonne, and it looks like aside from wind damage, we came through okay. I'm trying to call folks down there now, especially from work. Glad to see you're okay hon!

Yup, me and the guys are fine down here. :) *hugs* We just got back into Metairie last night, and we're unpacking and cleaning up, but not much worse for wear. Sooooo glad Gustav left us basically unscathed.
