Just happened upon this little image treasure trove at the St. Bernard Parish Government website.
For reference, these photos come from an area very close to where I live. As far as I can tell, these photos come from the days immediately following Katrina crossing St. Bernard Parish, which includes photos of at least two schools I went to--P.G.T. Beauregard and St. Bernard High School.
This is where that 6' waterline came from.
Yup. We got flooded.
...anyone got a rubber duckie?
