Jan. 5th, 2004 11:17 pmEpisodes 1-13 of the Original Funimation Dragonball dub, along with the feature, "Curse of the Blood Rubies". ^_^ -- $6 for the 2 Disc DVD set at Wal-Mart. Sale! Hee!
I have to admit...it's really odd...being used to the newer voices, and switching back to this original dub...I mean, especially since this was the series that really fueled my interest in anime. Sailor Moon may have lit the match, but when I saw "Curse of the Blood Rubies" played on Channel 26 way back in...1995, I think... Wow. I didn't watch it as often as Sailor Moon, but...just the fact that it was a pretty interesting little story, the animation was great (and different), and just...talk about memory lane...and the catchy theme song! ^_^ "Goku! He's gonna show you! He and his friends are gonna save the day..."
......*sigh* I miss those old wonderful days. I never was able to record the entire feature, but for what I was able to record? I loved. Later that year, Sailor Moon came on on weekdays, and Dragon Ball on weekends. (And later, Samurai Pizza Cats on WB 38, but that''s another story) Only now...I'm having trouble getting to the actual feature that's supposed to be on the second disc. I suppose for $6 I can't complain too much.
Although...I do wonder what'll become of the old SPC episodes. I'd love to see a domestic DVD release... Or is that just wishful thinking? I hope not...
*grins deviously* "Youth are for Exploding!" would be soooo overplayed.
